Infinite Moment with “The Perks”
The Perks of being a Wallflower have become one of the highlights of my summer and I love it. The book is so light and it can turn you into a high schooler once again. I believe that Charles is an amazing person. He is intelligent and a loyal friend even though he is so skeptical in his social environment he is trying to participate. Charles great voyage in puberty has been influenced by his friends, the past and his medical condition. One thing that I don’t appreciate much is the ending ( Oh! I don’t want to be a spoiler here so you better check it out!) And maybe because I find it “bitin”.
I honestly want to have a set of friends like Charles have they may be different to each other but they have this common denominator that binds them as one. Liberalism is one the the idea that I really liked about the book and that gives me a definite idea that American teenager is far different from Filipino teenager. But not now anymore Filipino teenagers now are more aggressive and more curious in exploring life. The book gives me a different realization in life particularly in the love, family and socialization.
Friend, I don’t know why I’m so hooked. I think this just another last book syndrome. I’m looking forward to see this in a movie. (Oh! Logan Lerman!) and I’m so excited for Patrick and Brad. So this is my life and I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I’m still trying to figure out how could that be. :D
Sometimes, I read a book , and I think I’m the people in the book -Charles (The Perks of Being A Wallflower)
